Miss. Stavridis Grade 6/7

Here is Group 1 assembling our Grade 6/7 contribution to the Treaty 9 table. Our 6 /7 class worked hard to create a beautiful and informational poster board that includes photos, art, information, maps and much more on Treaty 9: James Bay treaty which is now placed in the atrium of MHEC! Come check it out and much more!

Congratulate Grade 6/7 Group 2 for their amazing effort and teamwork. They were able to build a very strong bridge able to withstand a huge stack of dictionaries and a very heavy speaker! Great work team!

Group 2 is adding to Group 1’s work on our Positive and Negative Effects of Words and Actions Chart Paper in reference to our novel Wonder. Here we can see how words and action positively and negatively affect us and people around us. Make sure to follow Rule #1: Be KIND!

Our 6/7 class celebrates Aboriginal Veterans Day 2020 to thank and honour the Indigenous soldiers who fought for Canada during WWI, WWII and the Korea Conflict. In Memory of CLFN War Veterans we remember their ultimate sacrifices.

Hello Class! Welcome Back!

My name is Miss. Stavridis and I am the homeroom teacher for grade 6/7. I am a new teacher at MHEC and I am so excited to meet and get to know all of you. Whether you are learning in the classroom, or at home, I will try my very best to make sure you feel comfortable in our learning environment and with our methods. I know Covid-19 can make you feel uncertain at times, but we are all in this together and MHEC is working hard to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.

We are going to have a fantastic year of learning and getting to know one another. Some things about me are that I am originally from Windsor, Ontario and just moved to Hearst this year! I am getting married in July 2021 in my hometown. I have three dogs, Prince, Lola and Maskwa! I like music, movies and playing soccer! I can’t wait to learn about you too!

We are going to work together to create a welcoming atmosphere in the classroom where everyone can feel safe and excited to learn. I can’t wait to meet you all very soon!

I am very much looking forward to a fantastic year!

See you soon! Best Wishes!

Miss. Stavridis!
