STEM

The STEM program is back for its second year at MHEC! . The program infuses Science, Technology, Engineer and Math (STEM). STEM is a hands on approach to learning, that involves real world problem solving, 21st century learning skills and critical thinking and analysis.

During this time that we are away from school there are some FREE websites and programs the students can be using to enhance their coding skills.

1) Code.org is a free website that teaches the basics of coding, and extends into further computer sciences and more difficult coding. It can be found here:

2) https://scratch.mit.edu/ideas

All students from grades 4-8 have scratch accounts, if you have forgottten and would like your username and password please email me at liana.bass@mhec.education.

3) For those of you that enjoy mindcraft microsofts website https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/makecode?rtc=1 teaches you how to code into minecraft!
